Is atheist Penn Jillette's popularity plunging? Is cowardice and atheism hurting Jillette's social standing?

According to Google trends, Penn Jillette's popularity has been plunging recently:

Penn Jillette's dodging of debates with Christians about the existence of God

In August of 2011 (or approximately this time}, Penn Jillette published a pro-atheism book  entitled God, No! Signs You May Already Be an Atheist and Other Magical Tales. In addition, he has pro-atheism videos on YouTube.

The Christian YouTube channel Shockofgod is a popular YouTube channel with over 20,000 subscribers.

Penn Jillette was challenged in mid 2011 to debate the Christians Shockofgod and Sye Ten Bruggencate concerning the existence of God and he dodged both those debates and details are given below:

Will atheist Penn Jillette debate Christian Sye Ten Bruggencate?

(Shockfogod indicated he also posted a debate challenge to Penn's Twitter account in 2011)

Since this time, Penn Jillette's popularity seems to have fallen. According to the web traffic tracking company Compete, the Penn and Teller website had 7,016 unique visitors a month in July of 2011. In July of 2012, the Penn and Teller website had 4,049 web visitors a month.

Questions about Penn Jillette's social standing

1. During the Great Depression, inexpensive forms of entertainment were popular as people wanted forget their troubles. In the United States many people of modest means have cable television and could watch Penn and Teller on cable television. Yet, in recent times, Penn Jillette's popularity seems to be falling during these recessionary times.

Could Penn Jillette's popularity be plunging partly due to his inability to defend the worldview of atheism and his cowardice?

According to a recent university study, atheists are among the least respected groups of people in North America. The atheist Sam Harris said concerning the label of atheist: "It's right next to child molester as a designation."

Is atheist Penn Jillette's promotion of atheism combined with his unwillingness to intellectually defend it via debate be hurting his social standing? If not, why not?

2. Penn Jillette seems quite willing to disparage the Bible via YouTube, but has he ever had the intestinal fortitude to publicly debate the existence of God, the validity of the Bible, creation vs. evolutionism or the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Does Penn Jillette have a plan to reverse the global decline of atheism?

The best available evidence suggests that global atheism is falling and global creationism is rising.

The Birkbeck College, University of London professor Eric Kaufmann using a multitude of demographic studies argues in an academic paper entitled Shall the Righteous Inherit the Earth? Demography and Politics in the Twenty-First Century the decline of atheism in terms of its global adherents is an established trend that will persist for the foreseeable future and the rate of decline will accelerate and affect the Western World. See also: Why are the years 2012 and 2020 key years for Christian creationists and pro-lifers?

Given that we live in an age of global communication and immigration, Professor Kaufmann told a secular Australian audience: "The trends that are happening worldwide inevitably in an age of globalization are going to affect us."

The atheist/agnostic and evolutionist communities don't appear to have a plan to stop the global decline of  atheism/agnosticism and the rise of global Christianity/creationism.

Does Penn Jillette have a plan to stop the global decline of atheism which is expected to adversely affect Western World atheism?

Will Penn Jillette continue to dodge debates with Bible believers while global atheism continues to decline and global Christianity continues to see explosive growth?

Does Penn Jillette believe that the shrinking of global atheism in an age of globalization will effect Western atheism? If not, why not?
