Secular humanist Paul Kurtz vs. the Christian Francis Schaeffer - Schaeffer wins hands down in the legacy department

The late Paul Kurtz is considered to be the "father of secular humanism" (a form of atheism). The late Francis Schaeffer was a Christian apologists who argued that Christendom had to do more to confront secular humanism, advance Christianity in the public square and he also argued against theological modernism.  Schaeffer was the author of the book A Christian Manifesto which a number of Christian and conservative political public figures say had a big influence on them.

The current web traffic on the Paul Kurtz website is so low that Alexa does not give it a ranking and lists its ranking as "no data" (See: Alexa - Paul Kurtz).  On the other hand, Francis Schaeffer has a number of websites dedicated to honoring his legacy and they all have rankings listed by Alexa.

Paul Kurtz is the father of secular humanism and he recently passed away.  Up until a few minutes ago when an atheist was no doubt embarrassed by Paul Kurtz's  lack of a legacy, the atheist Paul Kurtz's book The Turbulent Universe had a zero Amazon rating.  The book Atheism for Dummies has a 4.5 Amazon star rating.

Another sign the so-called rapid expansion of atheism is bluster and a mirage

Publishers Weekly published an article which declared concerning Prometheus Books, which is a leading publisher of atheist books:

Prometheus Books has published in the category since its founding in 1969. This spring, Prometheus’ list includes five atheism titles, among them God and the Atom by Victor J. Stenger (April), 50 Simple Questions for Every Christian by Guy P. Harrison (Mar.), and The Outsider Test for Faith: How to Know Which Religion Is True by John W. Loftus (Mar.). Maxick credits the New Atheists with bringing what was a niche topic to a broader audience. However, since then, she says, “we haven’t seen the trend as impactful. The wave tapered off to a more traditional level of sales.”

Another crisis hitting Darwinism, atheism and agnosticism - Eurocrisis is causing secular Europe to have falling fertility rates. Creationism does well in economic hard times 

British academic Eric Kaufmann says "the rate of secularisation has flattened to zero in most of Protestant Europe and France". Also, Kaufmann writes that secularism "appears exhausted and lacking in confidence"

The Secular Outpost is the blog of the website the Secular Web which is one of the leading atheism websites.

Jeffrey Jay Lowder of the Secular Web shows once again that Paul Kurtz, the father of secular humanism has no legacy. Lowder's blog post on the death of Paul Kurtz entitled Friendly Atheist: Paul Kurtz Has Died consisted of one word: "LINK". What a tremendous outpouring of respect and love for Paul Kurtz! Link!

Lowder is not the only atheist who appears underwhelmed by Paul Kurtz's atheist claptrap.
