Below are two videos, you decide who makes a better case: the Christian creationist or the evolutionists featured at the National Geographic Channel who advocates being prepared for an alien invasion.
In addition, below the videos is the biggest creation vs. evolution contest of 2012. Don't miss it!
Video contest rules
1. You must use logic and evidence when deciding. Please review this article: Origins science and avoiding historical fallacies
2. If you are an evolutionist with a short attention who bails out of the first video after the first minute, your verdict is disqualified and has no merit. You must run the whole race of the contest or be disqualified.
3. You must review the material at these 3 web resources:
A. Origin of life
B. Refuting evolution.
C. Did God create life on other planets?
4. You must review the material at: End of the world 2012?
The two videos
1. Reasonable Christian creationist who's website is at: End of the world 2012?
2. Evolutionist quackery from National Geographic and Obama Administration advisor ready at the wings
Who won this contest?
The Christian creationist of course! Was there ever any doubt?

Making 2012 the worst year in the history of Darwinism
Be forewarned, we are winning this contest so far as can be seen by these 4 resources:
1. 2012 is shaping up to be a BAD year for atheism and evolutionism! Great new charts and developments!
2. Creation Ministries International blows past Richard Dawkins in terms of their website traffic.
3. American young earth creationism increased in recent months - Gallup survey
4. Global decline of atheism/agnosticism and the rise of Christianity and creationism
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win." - the Apostle Paul (I Corinthians 9:24).
Of all the articles I've read on this website, this seems to be the most bizarre. I'm not too sure what the authors motives were. I saw both videos and they don't seem to really go against each other. one is a critical look at 2012 doomsday prophesies and the other is about US defense. Can you clarify what the contest was?
ReplyDeleteTim,
DeleteThere were 5 links given and 2 videos given for the video contest between the two worldviews given in the respective videos.
Did you carefully examine the resources for those 5 links and watch both videos in their entirety?
Is it reasonable to dodge someone's question by asking a completely different question?
ReplyDeleteJesse,
DeletePlease elaborate and demonstrate that the question was dodged.
The question was (in my words) "What is the relationship between these two seemingly unrelated videos you are asking your readers to pass comparative judgement on?" You responded "Did you watch both videos in their entirety?" essentially dodging the question and putting the onus back on the person who asked it.
ReplyDeleteJesse,
DeleteI still find your accusation unconvincing.
i watched both videos, but due to the layout of the article it seems like the links were there for further reading.
ReplyDeleteAs Jesse points out my question still stands
Tim,
DeleteI disagree and I think you are being lazy. And I don't cater to intellectual sluggards.
Calling me lazy just confuses the matter more. I'm genuinely curious of what your meaning was behind the videos. All I asked for was some clarification, which you have yet to provide.
DeleteI've reviewed the links as well, and it seems like the contest is around whether there is life on other planets. But again, I'm just not seeing where either of these videos are opposed to each other. What is the purpose of this blog post?
Yes, the contest is around whether there is life on other planets.
Deletewell that clarifies things a little. I'm still coming back to my initial question though. You've posted 2 videos up, but they just aren't against each other.
ReplyDeleteThe whole debate over life on other planets is very interesting, with no real consensus from the non creationist side over whether there is or isnt. The general position is probably, but with so little of the universe explored its just too early to say. I understand that creationists such as yourself declare certainty that there isnt. I can't help but notice the irony in that position
Tim,
DeleteYou seem to be claiming that life may have arisen by natural causes on one or more planets and then evolved.
Are you willing to have a debate centered around the
15 questions for evolutionists
via a recorded oral debate which would be distributed to tens of thousands of people.
If you are confident in the evolutionary position, please make the necessary arrangements via this free chat room: http://login.meetcheap.com/conference,89538844 You can make the necessary arrangements with the chat room moderators Shockofgod or VivaYehshua.
If you want to know more about the debate, any and all questions should be directed to Shockofgod or VivaYehshua
I didnt claim anything regarding the cause of life on other planets, but yes I would imagine that if there was life on other planets it would have arisen naturally, just like it did on earth.
DeleteI'm not a biologist, nor a debater. So debating biology with me really wouldn't benefit anyone. Although, judging from the 15 questions, you don't seem interested in learning the actual evolutionary process anyway.
I would be happy to discuss my non-belief with you or anyone else over email though. You have my information, please let me know via email if you know of anyone who would like to have an email conversation over theistic claims. I would of course give permission for them to pass the resulting conversation onto the tens of thousands you mention (with my personal information omitted, obviously)
I look forward to hearing from you

By the way, if you are not willing to public defend atheism, having a private Christianity/atheism email dialogue has no appeal to me.
The first video ridicules the pseudo-science that is debunked by scientists the world over. As a Christian, I tend to believe that God will indeed use His created universe in destroying the world as it now is. The logic in the first video is this: the premise that the Mayans "predicted the end" has something to do with the apocalypse natural events. It does not.
ReplyDeleteThe world view in the second video assumes that life is "out there" and that it may want to do us harm. It assumes also that there is not a whole lot we could do about it if they came at our present stage of development. The advice given by the "expert" is sound given the assumptions. In truth, when the end comes, even with the "help" of Satan's supernatural forces, there is nothing that humanity will be able to do, and no contingency plan will make a difference.
Based on available evidence, the natural disasters related to the sun, asteroids and planetoids, is a probability thing -- given that the timing cannot be predicted. The answers to the doomsayers is basically, we can't stop it and so far it doesn't look like it will happen.
The second video postulates that an "unnatural" -- almost "supernatural" -- invasion is coming, asking the question: What can we do? Given that it assumes life not like our own, or advanced beyond ours at least, may someday invade, it seeks calm before the storm. In a way, it is more reasoned, though based on a flawed premise. The invasion IS coming, and there is nothing we can do to stop it! The only thing is that it is not "aliens," but God Himself Who is coming.
There is no evidence in favor of life on other planets. There is evidence against there being life on other planets.
