Biblical creation belief is growing in New Zealand plus we have news about a New Zealand Education Minister John Banks who recently said he is a biblical creationist
In 2006, New Zealand (NZ) government census data indicated:
The number of people affiliating with Orthodox Christian religions increased by 37.8 percent, affiliation with Evangelical, Born Again and Fundamentalist religions increased by 25.6 percent, and affiliation with Pentecostal religions increased by 17.8 percent.Bible believing Christianity and belief in biblical creation are growing so fast in New Zealand! And imagine how fast these will spread with the aid of a growing and well funded Question Evolution! Campaign.
As far as the "no religion" people being reported in the NZ census data many of those could be theists and "no religion" people who are in actuality non-denominational evangelical Protestants. See: Research shows a significant amount of American nondenominational church members are checking "unaffiliated" or "no religion" on surveys
In addition, our Question Evolution! Campaign group is seeking to get involved in internet evangelism and creationism evangelism so it makes a lot of sense to establish relationships with New Zealand churches and church associations. See: Internet Internet evangelism is powerful especially when combined with creation evangelism
We found a helpful list of Christian organizations from the pro-evolution website Wikipedia which was founded by an atheist and agnostic so this should not be hard to do. Thanks evolutionists! See: Wikipedia Evolutionists at Wikipedia have created a "broken, disorganized mess". Loses 20,000 editors in 5 years
Also, this month we will be working on developing relationships with Christian networks which are international in scope as well.
New Zealand Education Minister John Banks says he is a biblical creationist
On August 20, the New Zealand Herald reported:
Associate Education Minister John Banks says he believes the Genesis account of the start of life on Earth.According to the Bible, God made the world in six days, with Adam and Eve being his last act of creation.John Banks told Radio Rhema that he has no doubts the first chapters of Genesis are true.New Zealand Christians in our Question Evolution! group or allied with our group
We published a September 20, 2012 article entitled Will New Zealand Christians help spark a revolution in anti-evolution and internet evangelism fund raising? in which we wrote:
Earlier today, we posted on how we are working on putting together an internet evangelism and Question Evolution! Campaign grant writing team via the efforts of 1-2 big fans of Creation Ministries International (CMI) in New Zealand. A man who obtained a previous Christian grant of $8,000 was recently sent a 5 page document about this matter. You can read about it in our post entitled Evolutionary gut feelings vs. a well funded Question Evolution! Campaign equals a lot of queasy evolutionists
We also have another New Zealander in our Question Evolution! group and we are contacting him about this matter too. So we may have three New Zealanders working on this project. He previously mentioned that a Christian newspaper reporter in New Zealand (NZ) was looking to report on the campaign. Should we put out a New Zealand press release which mentions a NZ grant writing team for a worldwide wide internet evangelism and Question Evolution! project? Should it mention we are seeking volunteers?
Demographic trends
Eric Kaufmann using a multitude of demographic studies argues in an academic paper entitled Shall the Righteous Inherit the Earth? Demography and Politics in the Twenty-First Century the decline of atheism in terms of its global adherents is an established trend that will persist for the foreseeable future and the rate of decline will accelerate. In the Western World, due to immigration and the higher birth rates of religious people, Kaufman writes that committed religious populations are growing in the West, and will reverse the march of secularism.
