The Apostle Paul wrote: "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win." (I Corinthians 9:24).
Christians are commanded to have a sense of urgency when it comes to evangelism.
So is there a proven way that a creationist ministry could increase their outreach by over 20,000,000 people a year?
If so, how could it be done?
How big of an extra outreach would that be for creationism?
Is this a realistic estimate? Is it a conservative estimate?
Our Question Evolution! Campaign group has communicated with several people in the internet evangelism field. There are people in this field who are very resourceful, determined, talented and creative. They have generously given us some great ideas and tips.
It is no wonder that an internet evangelism organization reported that that they reached 145,000,000 million people with a Christian message in a one year time period. Also, nearly 20 million of those people indicated they prayed to become Christians. And that is merely one internet evangelism organization. Namely, Global Media Outreach. And the wonderful thing is that there are numerous ministries focusing on internet evangelism.
How big of an increase would 20 million extra people a year reached be for creation evangelism?
According to the web traffic tracking company Quantcast, the three leading biblical creationist ministries received about 448,000 unique visitors a month to their websites They also have speakers which speak at churches and other events plus other venues as well such as radio, etc. Plus, some of them have creationist museums as well.
There are also over 180 additional smaller creationist ministries in North America alone. We have started to contact some of them and we are very encouraged so far.
Let's just take a look at the web traffic for the 3 leading creationist websites and do some rounding to make the math easier. Let's round up the 448,000 unique visitors a month for the websites of the leading 3 creationist ministries to 500,000 unique visitors a month so that is 6 million unique visitors a year.
Above, we indicated that one internet evangelism organization reached 145,000,000 people in one year. So a creation website reaching 20 million extra people through internet evangelism would be about 13.7% of their results which should be doable. In short, it is an ambitious yet achievable goal.
Now if the leading 3 creationist websites are currently received about 6 million visitors a month and Creation.com received 20 million extra visitors a year that would be at least a 400% plus increase in the amount of web traffic to the leading 3 creationist websites if it is combined with other efforts such as forming alliances and integrating online and offline efforts. For example, many times offline events wind up creating significant online traffic jumps due to word of mouth and publicity.
How can 20 million additional people hearing creationism be achieved?
As I indicated, we are very indebted to the internet evangelism community in terms of what they have shared with us so far.
We talked to one internet evangelist for over 90 minutes recently. One of the gentlemen we talked to thought it could be a potentially good idea to have multiple internet evangelism web pages on the Creation Ministries International website and drive tens of millions of people to those web pages through internet evangelism. Isn't that a fantastic idea? Think about it! Not only would many of them become Christians, but they would become young earth creationists as well as Creation Ministries International could direct them to additional resources.
Also, internet evangelism ministries can refer people to Creation.com and vice versa. We already have two internet evangelism which expressed interest in referring web traffic to Creation.com.
The beauty of this idea is a gentlemen who specializes in Christian grants says that at any given time there are about 200-300 Christian grants for evangelism. Plus, there is networking, volunteers asking their home churches for donations, etc.
Another advantage of this approach is that is opens the doors wide open for a greater breadth of volunteers since there are many people of all ages who want to share the gospel with others. We recently reported that children are helping to spread the gospel in schools for example (Later this year, we want to start developing creation evangelism materials for kids).
Do you like this double barreled approach to defeating Darwinism? We do and we think it could greatly facilitate the spreading of the 15 questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer.
And it gets better! Multiplying our efforts
One of the internet evangelist we spoke to thought it would also be good if we shared the concept with other creationist ministries plus helped them implement it.
As I indicated, there are over 180 creationist ministries in North America. Do you think some of them would want to start their own internet evangelism and creation websites - especially they were taught how and lead to various resources? We do! Plus, we can have working relationships with Christian ministries as well in addition to churches. Many churches are now using the internet to grow their churches. There is a lot of power to teaching and multiplying your efforts.
I think this approach has an excellent chance of spreading through the creationist community especially if experienced internet evangelist share their ideas and knowledge with others and they seem very willing to do so. Overall, if creation minstries work with other Christian organizations and online and offline efforts are integrated, I do think creation evangelism can increase by over 400%. Creation evangelism has to grow for the simple reason that the world population is growing.
