18 reasons why American atheism is about to take a beating

Housing, car purchases, employment and gas prices are major components of the American economy. Please see: 18 similarities to the 2008 economic crisis

Atheism and agnosticism does poorly in a bad economy while biblical Christianity does well under such conditions (Christianity does well where there is a lot of religious freedom,  no state churches or socialism as well). See:  Economics and agnosticism, atheism and Darwinism

Ji Yingnan and other jilted mistresses expose Chinese atheist officials’ corruption

China is a communist country.  Communism is explicitly atheistic. Karl Marx said "[Religion] is the opium of the people". Marx also declared: "Communism begins from the outset (Owen) with atheism..."

The Washington Post reported today: Ji Yingnan and other jilted mistresses expose Chinese officials’ corruption

Communism, atheism and mass murder

Vladimir Lenin wrote: "A Marxist must be a materialist, i. e., an enemy of religion, but a dialectical materialist, i. e., one who treats the struggle against religion not in an abstract way, not on the basis of remote, purely theoretical, never varying preaching, but in a concrete way, on the basis of the class struggle which is going on in practice and is educating the masses more and better than anything else could."

In 1999, the publication Christian Century reported : "China has persecuted religious believers by means of harassment, prolonged detention, and incarceration in prison or `reform-through-labor' camps and police closure of places of worship." In 2003, owners of Bibles in China were sent to prison camps and 125 Chinese churches were closed.

It is estimated that in less than the past 100 years, governments under the banner of communism have caused the death of somewhere between 40,472,000 to 259,432,000 human lives. See: HOW MANY DID COMMUNIST REGIMES MURDER? By R.J. Rummel

Vox Day wrote:
Apparently it was just an amazing coincidence that every Communist of historical note publicly declared his atheism … .there have been twenty-eight countries in world history that can be confirmed to have been ruled by regimes with avowed atheists at the helm … These twenty-eight historical regimes have been ruled by eighty-nine atheists, of whom more than half have engaged in democidal162 acts of the sort committed by Stalin and Mao …

The total body count for the ninety years between 1917 and 2007 is approximately 148 million dead at the bloody hands of fifty-two atheists, three times more than all the human beings killed by war, civil war, and individual crime in the entire twentieth century combined.

The historical record of collective atheism is thus 182,716 times worse on an annual basis than Christianity’s worst and most infamous misdeed, the Spanish Inquisition. It is not only Stalin and Mao who were so murderously inclined, they were merely the worst of the whole Hell-bound lot. For every Pol Pot whose infamous name is still spoken with horror today, there was a Mengistu, a Bierut, and a Choibalsan, godless men whose names are now forgotten everywhere but in the lands they once ruled with a red hand.

Is a 58 percent chance that an atheist leader will murder a noticeable percentage of the population over which he rules sufficient evidence that atheism does, in fact, provide a systematic influence to do bad things? If that is not deemed to be conclusive, how about the fact that the average atheist crime against humanity is 18.3 million percent worse than the very worst depredation committed by Christians, even though atheists have had less than one-twentieth the number of opportunities with which to commit them. If one considers the statistically significant size of the historical atheist set and contrasts it with the fact that not one in a thousand religious leaders have committed similarly large-scale atrocities, it is impossible to conclude otherwise, even if we do not yet understand exactly why this should be the case. Once might be an accident, even twice could be coincidence, but fifty-two incidents in ninety years reeks of causation

5 questions for evolutionists about bigger and more frequent Christian attacks on Darwinism. Also, atheism expected to shrink to 1.8% of world population by 2020. Agnosticism expected to shrink to 8.9% of the global population by 2020.

Questions:

1. How fast will global atheism and agnosticism shrink by 2020 in terms of its percentage in the world population? How will this effect Darwinism? Who are the most ardent supporters of evolution in the world?

2.  Did the Christian Apologetics organization Ratio Christi, which sets up Christian apologetics clubs across college and university campuses, just launch an international division? (Ratio Christi is against Darwinism).

3. Is an Australian lady terrified about the growing attacks on Darwinism and future attacks on Darwinism growing stronger?  If so, why? Did a British gentlemen prevent her from sobbing and suffering a nervous breakdown?

4. Is global creationism and global Christianity growing? Will the growth of biblical Christianity lead to bigger and more frequent attacks on evolutionary pseodoscientific beliefs?

 5.  Do Christians have plans to use technology in significantly stronger ways to spread Christianity and biblical creation belief?

Forecasted percentage of world atheists and agnostics by 2020

On July 24, 2013, CNS News reported:
Atheism is in decline worldwide, with the number of atheists falling from 4.5% of the world’s population in 1970 to 2.0% in 2010 and projected to drop to 1.8% by 2020, according to a new report by the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass.

In its report, Christianity in its Global Context, 1970-2020: Society, Religion, and Mission, researchers analyzed data on church membership and activities from thousands of Christian denominations and other religions worldwide, presenting that data from 1970 and 2010 for a 40-year comparison and, using that information and related demographic data to forecast the world religious makeup in 2020...

In reference to agnostics, the data show they constituted 14.7% of the world’s population in 1970 but declined to 9.8% of the population in 2010; they are projected to fall further by 2020, to make up 8.9% of the population....

“This is due primarily to the resurgence of Buddhism, Christianity, and other religions in China, and Christianity in Eastern Europe.”
Growing Christian responses to atheism and/or agnosticism

Matt Slick, at the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry and has led a sustained and prominent attack on atheism via the internet via its resources on atheism.  Also, Creation Ministries International prominently features its flagship online article on atheism  in its topics search on its main page and it offers extensive resources on the secular religions of atheism and agnosticism (see: Atheism, agnosticism and humanism: godless religions).

And of course, there are a number of prominent ministries engaged in the refutation of Darwinism and the promotion of biblical creation belief such as Creation Ministries International. And Darwinism is largely the air supply of atheism and agnosticism in the Western World. See: Cutting off the air supply of atheism

Also, global creationism is expanding as well - even in various countries in the Western World. See:  Global creationism/Christianity is expanding

Also, there are certainly efforts to grow Christian evangelism in the world and also expand the works of Christian apologetics and the field of Christian apologetics. For example, Ratio Christi is expanding Christian apologetics clubs across Northern American universities at the present time and they just launched an international division. See: Ratio Christi just launched an international division

In addition, Christians are stepping up their efforts to promote Christianity and biblical creation belief via the internet:    5 reasons why Christian evangelism is more thoughtful and effective than Darwinist and atheist evangelism

An Australian lady is terrified about growing attacks on Darwinism and future attacks on Darwinism

Specifically, the scholar Eric Kaufman asserts that conservative Christianity and religious conservatism will grow in the West in the future due to their higher birth rates of religious conservatives and through  immigration.  In April of 2010, Eric Kaufmann declared that "the rate of secularisation has flattened to zero in most of Protestant Europe and France."  In a recent speaking event of Eric Kaufman's, a member of a secular audience was terrified that growing religious conservatism will increasingly challenge Darwinism and eventually shut down its promulgation in public schools.  Kaufman chose to remain silent on this matter lest the Australian Darwinist woman start sobbing and suffer a nervous breakdown!

Study: 2.6 Billion of World Population Expected to Be Christian by 2020. Evangelicalism is expected to sustain substantial growth looking forward to 2020

The Christian Post reports: Study: 2.6 Billion of World Population Expected to Be Christian by 2020.

The report makes various predictions about various regions. One of factors not mentioned in the study  "Christianity In Its Global Context, 1970-2010",  is the effect of economic trouble in Europe and elsewhere as far as the various religious landscapes in regions. See:  Economics and Darwinism/atheism

Evangelicals often hold to biblical creation belief.  What is the report's 2020 projection on global evangelical Christianity?

The report Christianity In Its Global Context, 1970-2010" declares:
On the global level, Evangelicalism is expected to sustain substantial growth looking forward to 2020 (around 2% per annum). Operation World cites Evangelicalism as growing much faster between 1970 and 2020 (3.3%) than the World Christian Database (2.6%). However, over the ten-year period between 2010 and 2020, OW has the movement growing more slowly than the WCD, 1.8% compared to 2.0% per year. Both sources report Evangelicalism growing the fastest in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with around 4% growth per year. Northern America is the continent with the highest Evangelical percentage of the total population in both 2010 and 2020. Despite the historic home of Evangelicalism being in Europe, that continent has far fewer Evangelicals than Africa, Asia, Northern America, and Latin America in terms of both hard numbers and percentage (and fewer in terms of percentage than Oceania) in 2010 and 2020.
On the other hand, global atheism/agnosticism are expected to shrink in the next 8 years. See: Study: World is turning more religious; atheism declining.

In addition, Eric Kaufmann using a multitude of demographic studies argues in an academic paper entitled Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth? Demography and Politics in the Twenty-First Century the decline of atheism in terms of its global adherents is an established trend that will persist for the foreseeable future and the rate of decline will accelerate. In the Western World, due to immigration and the higher birth rates of religious people, Kaufman writes: "Committed religious populations are growing in the West, and will reverse the march of secularism before 2050." See also: Eric Kaufmann's website

Kaufmann told a secular audience in Australia: "The trends that are happening worldwide inevitably in an age of globalization are going to affect us."

Furthermore, economic problems are expected to hit secular Europe in the coming years and perhaps the global economy. Historically, this favors the growth of biblical Christianity.  See:  Economics and Darwinism/atheism. Hanhah More wrote: "In agony or danger, no nature is atheist. The mind that knows not what to fly to, flies to God."

Christian Post: Study: World is turning more religious; atheism declining. Also, the battle of the sexes will continue within atheism

On July 20, 2013, the Christian Post reported in a story entitled Study: World Is Turning More Religious; Atheism Declining

A new study says the world is more religious now than it was four decades ago, and this trend will continue to 2020 and perhaps beyond even as the global share of the nonreligious is likely to witness a sustained decrease.

The percentage of the world that is religious continues to increase, according to the study titled "Christianity In Its Global Context, 1970-2010," conducted by the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.

In 1970, nearly 80 percent of the world's population was religious, and by 2010 this had grown to around 88 percent, with a projected increase to almost 90 percent by 2020, the report states. The growth of religious adherence can largely be attributed to the continuing resurgence of religion in China, it notes.
In 1970, agnostic and atheist populations together claimed 19.2 percent of the world's total population, largely due to communism in Eastern Europe and China. However, after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, large numbers of the nonreligious returned to religion.

According to the report, projections to 2020 indicate a sustained decrease of the global share of the nonreligious, mostly because China is witnessing a resurgence of Buddhism, Christianity, and other religions, and Christianity is also growing in Eastern Europe.

"If this trend continues, agnostics and atheists will be a smaller portion of the world's population in 2020 than they were in 2010," says the report. "Although the number of atheists and agnostics continues to rise in the Western world, the current growth of a variety of religions in China in particular (where the vast majority of the nonreligious live today) suggests continued future demographic growth of religion."
Full story at:  Study: World Is Turning More Religious; Atheism Declining

Furthermore,  David Silverman, the President of the American Atheists organization, says he wants to amplify feminism within atheism. Additional feminism within atheism will accentuate the already below sub-replacement birth rate of the atheist population.  In addition, it could further ignite the battle of the sexes raging within Western atheism. See: Birth rates: Atheists vs. Bible believers and Battle of the sexes within atheist community

Reddit shoves its atheism sub-reddit into the closet where it belongs!

Questions:

1. Did Reddit shove its atheism sub-reddit into the Reddit closet?

2. Did Reddit say its atheism sub-reddit was not "up to snuff".  Since Reddit atheism is probably the world's largest internet atheism community, does this mean that global atheism is not up to snuff?

3. Will Reddit's popularity probably increase or decrease after this move?

4. Is the decision to remove the atheism sub-reddit off its main page a good decision for Reddit. If so, why?

5.  Did the atheist  Hemant Mehta who writes the blog The Friendly Atheist say about Reddit's decision: "Honestly, it’s probably a smart move by the Reddit admins even though it hampers getting atheist stories to larger audiences (and means less traffic for me personally)."  Is this yet another sign that 2013 is going to be a BAD year for atheism?

Reddit dumped its atheism sub-reddit of its main page

Reddit will no longer have its atheism sub-reddit on its front page. It has decided to put its atheism sub-reddit in the closet where it belongs! See: Reddit's frontpage: goodbye atheism and politics

Recently,  CNN featured an article on the "6 types of atheism" but there are at least 7 types of atheism as "closet atheism" was not included. In 2007, Dr. Sam Harris, a founder of the New Atheism movement, said about the label of atheist, "It's right next to child molester as a designation."

Reddit's Alexa ranking on 7/17/2013 - the day it booted its atheism sub-reddit from its main page

The decision to remove its atheism sub-reddit from its main page seems to have been made on 7/17/2013 (See: Reddit announcement and ( r/Atheism Gets Kicked off Reddit’s Default Front Page ).

Alexa's global market reach from 7/12/2013 to the end of 7/17/2013 according to Alexa:

Reddit's Alexa global ranking from 7/12/2013 to the end of 7/17/2013:

Reddit's global market share in 2012 and 2013 according to Alexa

Reddit said its atheism sub-reddit was not up to snuff and so it was removed from its default setting

On 7/17/2013, Reddit declared in a blog post:
We know many of you will wonder what happened to /r/politics and /r/atheism and why they were removed from the default set. We could give you a canned corporate answer or a diplomatic answer that is carefully crafted for the situation. But since this is Reddit, we’re going to try things a bit differently and give you the real answer: they just weren’t up to snuff. Now, don’t get us wrong, there still ARE good parts about them. Overall, they just haven’t continued to grow and evolve like the other subreddits we’ve decided to add.
Imagine that!  The leading internet atheism community on the internet not being up to snuff!

Why did Reddit make a sound short term and long term decision?

Global atheism is on the decline in terms of adherent and internet atheism is also on the decline.  On the other hand, global Christianity is seeing rapid growth in its number of adherents. See: Decline of global atheism and rise of global Christianity and Decline of internet atheism

Recently, Mashable declared that reddit atheism had developed a reputation for "low brow" material.

See:

Mashable admits one of the internet's largest atheist communities, reddit atheism, has developed a reputation of being "low brow" over the years by "some" (translation: by people who are not "low brow")

Most of the fans of the sub-reddit atheism were upset by recent changes which attempted to make the sub-reddit less low brow. But no matter how you slice it, atheism will always be errant and illogical and any attempts to make it intellectually feasible is like putting lipstick on a pig.  Christianity has an abundant amount of evidence and atheists/evolutionists have developed a reputation of cowardice as far as publicly defending their worldview in debate.  See: Evidence for Christianity and  21st century atheism is well-known for its foolishness and cowardice

My guess is that marketing department of Reddit saw low brow Reddit atheists increasingly leave their website.  Furthermore, they may have done some split-testing to see how the decision would affect them as far as removing the atheism sub-reddit from their main page as far as a default setting.

In addition, given the decline of global atheism and internet atheism and the reputation of atheists, their move of the atheism sub-reddit off the main page of their website was a good long term decision for them. Furthermore, given rising internet use among countries that have a lot of religious conservatives and the widespread use of the English language around the world, the move makes long term sense as well.

Atheist Hermant Mehta on Reddit's decision and its implications for internet atheism. And yes, 2013 is going to still be a bad year for atheism - just like we predicted!

Hemant Mehta the atheist who writes the blog The Friendly Atheist said about Reddit's decision:
That meant popular atheism-related stories were seen by who-knows-how-many people who would never have clicked on or cared about those stories otherwise. It also meant that anyone who signed up for a free Reddit account would be automatically subscribed to r/atheism. They would have to click “unsubscribe” to not see those stories.

That default option led r/atheism to become one of the most popular subreddits on the site with more than 2,000,000 members, most of whom (I suspect) aren’t even atheists.

Today, Reddit announced that r/atheism would no longer be a default subreddit for new members and casual visitors (and neither will r/politics...

Honestly, it’s probably a smart move by the Reddit admins even though it hampers getting atheist stories to larger audiences (and means less traffic for me personally).
There you have it. Reddit's decision will probably hamper internet atheism.  Atheists, didn't we repeatedly tell you that 2013 was going to be a bad year for atheism? It's happening! Just like we predicted!

Making 2013 be the WORST year in the history of Darwinism.

Making 2013 be the WORST year in the history of Darwinism. - Part 2

Reddit atheism and cowardice

In May of 2013, Policymic published an article on Reddit atheism entitled Reddit Users: Why Atheist Redditors Are Stuck On the Internet which declared that Reddit atheists are reluctant to proclaim their atheism off the internet. See: Reddit Users: Why Atheist Redditors Are Stuck On the Internet

The Policymic  article declared:
Are we to make cowards out of Reddit’s atheists for the discrepancy between the prevalence of real life and internet proclamations of godlessness? Maybe, as the world’s loudest atheist, Richard Dawkins, first bemoaned in his TED talk, “Atheists do not want to be impolite … Can we stop being so damned polite?” Or, as R/atheist stalwart with the username “blackstar9000” explained in a very thoughtful post on the state of the atheist subreddit, “Many of the users are just recently converted, who fear being ostracized by people the religious people who make up their support system.

Darwinists vs. Darwinists - Biblical creation belief wins! A French woman is going to help further translate the Question Evolution! Campaign into French

Currently, there are some excellent Biblical creation resources for French speakers which dispels evolutionary pseudoscience:  French biblical creation resources

Is there going to be significantly more French material debunking Darwinism?  It appears so!

On July 15, 2013, our Question Evolution! Campaign  group reported:
One of the areas of Europe which has the most evangelical Christian creationists is Switzerland. See: Swiss creationism

Our Question Evolution! Campaign  group just received this email from a Swiss creationist:
There are now few months ago that a friend of mine in France, who also speaks English, proposed to help me with the translations of the 15 questions for evolutionists. ....she has a lot of time (she doesn't work), I thought to ask her if she would be still agree to help me. I will let you know as soon I will have an answer from her.
The 15 questions for evolutionist have been translated to French already here: 15 questions for evolutionists in French   However, all the links on that page go to articles written in English. So the Swiss lady is endeavoring to get these linked pages translated into French
Good news from France

The Swiss creationist speaks French as a second language. However, her friend in France is a native speaker of French so the translation efforts can proceed at a much faster pace now.

Today, our Question evolution! campaign group received this report from our "Swiss creationist".  It is about her friend in France who is going to help with the French translation project.

Dear XXXX,

Good news, my friend will help me for the translations, but not before August as she is actually away from home and has no computer. Praise God....

Sincerely,

XXXXX
In addition, if established trends continue in relation to the fertility rates of secular French compared to creationist French and conservative religious immigration,  then French evolutionary belief has a bleak future.  French scholars recently declared that evangelical Christianity is the fastest growing religion in France.
See: Creationism is growing in France and  French scholars say evangelicalism is likely the fastest growing religion in France and  Secular vs. religious birth rates

I hope naive evolutionists don't think French atheists/evolutionist haters who engage in religious bigotry and racial bigotry against evangelical  immigrants will prevail. Thanks to their hatred/indifference relating to motherhood and the resulting low fertility rates, there are going to be mighty few French atheists/evolutionists to stop the onward march of creationism in France.   In April of 2010, Eric Kauffmann declared that "the rate of secularisation has flattened to zero in most of Protestant Europe and France."

Bible believing Christians prevailed once in Europe and we are rising again for a second triumph!  Once again love will triumph over evil. See:  The Triumph of the Gospel of Love

Au revoir,  French evolutionary belief!

Darwinists vs. Darwinists - Biblical creation belief wins!

A member of our Question evolution! campaign group has scheduled on his calendar learning from Europeans some specialized knowledge which will be very useful in combating atheism/Darwinism.  God willing this will occur in 2014/2015.   Part of the training will involve a trip to Europe. It will enable this member of our team to help spread our message faster and more powerfully.   Imagine that!  Learning specialized skills from secular European evolutionists in order to defeat secular European Darwinists!  Of course, we plan on sharing/recommending some of this information to our fellow Christians.

Reddit atheism has helped reinforce the reputation of atheists as being low brow and low-class

On June 14, 2013, the atheist James Watt wrote:
The largest community of atheists in the world is the Atheism Subreddit with over 2 million members. It grew to those numbers by being a catch all for anything even slightly related to the interests of atheists. However, the subreddit founder, Skeen, was one of the worst moderators on Reddit, permitting anything to be posted to /r/Atheism and allowing complete anarchy.

I will admit, I was one of the people who were annoyed by Skeen’s lack of moderation. Here we had the largest community of atheists on the planet, but instead of good articles and discussions, all the community could manage was a repost of what Ricky Gervais had to say about religion. Every. Single. Day.
Ricky isn’t even a deep thinker, he’s just a comedian!
For more information please see:   7 reasons why atheism has developed a reputation of being low-class and "low brow"

The Barna Group found that atheists and agnostics in America were more likely, than theists in America, to look upon the following behaviors as morally acceptable: illegal drug use; excessive drinking; sexual relationships outside of marriage; abortion; cohabitating with someone of opposite sex outside of marriage; obscene language; gambling; pornography and obscene sexual behavior; and engaging in homosexuality/bisexuality.
