Well, it seems like an evolutionist by the name of Fergus Mason may be upset by Kaufmann's work.

You do know that Kaufmann thinks the demographic rise of religion will be a disaster, right? I only ask because you never mention that.Of course, Fergus Mason, like all evolutionists, was quickly slapped down and utterly defeated!

Fergus,
A few points:
1. Do I know that? At this blog, comments are expected to be fully supported. That is why so few of your blog comments are posted (plus you have yet to produce a video where you and Viva/Shock debate the 15 questions). Also, even if your claim is true, evidence from a "hostile witness" is valuable and that is why courts of law allow such evidence. See: http://dictionary.law.com/Default.aspx?selected=884
2. Kaufmann does not want agnostics/atheists to get into a population footrace with religious conservatives as he adheres to the ideology of global warming alarmism. See: http://marcalandimartino.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/eric-kaufmann-inheriting-the-earth/ and http://fora.tv/2010/09/05/Eric_Kaufmann_Shall_the_Religious_Inherit_the_Earth
3. Through a confidential source, our Question Evolution! Campaign knows that Kaufman is an agnostic. If you think Kaufmann supports the work of bombastic New Atheists, you are sadly mistaken!
4. I have watched Eric Kaufmann videos plus read a number of his articles and he appears to be an easy going Canadian (he was born in Canada) who is not into political correctness. Through a confidential source, our Question Evolution! Campaign group knows that Kaufmann prefers the academic community in the UK over the the one in Canada because there is less political correctness and academic work in the UK is more data driven than in Canada
Kaufmann also appears to have a sense of humor and seems less high strung than you. You can see that here where he appears to be in good humor when answering questions by the secular audience who is upset with his findings: http://fora.tv/2010/09/05/Eric_Kaufmann_Shall_the_Religious_Inherit_the_Earth
5. Given that so many secular/liberal societies are buried in debt and/or are being overrun by unruly rioting Muslims, you haven't shown why a region run by Christian religious conservatives would be disastrous. See: http://www.gfmag.com/tools/global-database/economic-data/10398-external-debt-by-country.html#axzz2MbQ5vpcd and http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/islam/TBIQTB3F96G9046V5 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzLECtFT4aU
Next, last time I checked, unlike atheists who had murderous rulers like Stalin/Mao who caused misery and mayhem in their societies, the Amish (who are Christian religious conservatives) seem to run far more peaceful and productive societies! For example, unlike militant atheists the Amish make plenty of tasty honey and apple butter! See: http://creation.com/atheism#atheism-communism and http://www.millersappleorchard.com/Order.php
For more information please see:
Religious immigrants highly resistant to secularization will dramatically alter the religious landscape of Europe
The agnostic and British academic Eric Kaufmann says "the rate of secularisation has flattened to zero in most of Protestant Europe and France". Also, Kaufmann writes that secularism "appears exhausted and lacking in confidence"

Fergus and Maryland Bear,
ReplyDeleteAll you have to do to get your comments posted at the blog is to debate Shockofgod and/or VivaYehshua on the 15 questions for evolutionists (see: http://creation.com/15-questions ) and provide proof that you did.
Are you afraid to lose a debate to Shockofgod on the 15 questions for evolutionists? We know that Shockofgod has won every debate he had with atheists/agnostics easily and effortlessly and he has debated a lot of atheists/agnostics! And it is not due to his debating prowess, but due to the utter weakness of the atheism/agnosticism positions! See a 15 year old young man utterly defeat atheists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSo9hW2dOBo
Given the shame of atheists/agnostics losing yet another debate with Shockofogod, your reluctance to debate him is not surprising!
Here is the debate challenge again:
Are you willing to have a debate centered around the 15 questions for evolutionists (see: http://creation.com/15-questions )
via a recorded oral debate which would be distributed to tens of thousands of people.
If you are confident in your evolutionary beliefs, please make the necessary arrangements via this free chat room: http://login.meetcheap.com/conference,89538844 You can make the necessary arrangements with the chat room moderators Shockofgod or VivaYehshua. Alternatively, you can email Shockofgod via his YouTube email at http://www.youtube.com/user/shockofgod
If you want to know more about the debate, any and all questions should be directed to Shockofgod or VivaYehshua
There will be no future communication with you via this blog until you accept this debate offer and carry through with the debate.
I find it staggering that Question Evolution consistently misquote the title of Kaufmann's piece - I wonder whether it was deliberate (an attempt to describe Christian fundamentalists as the only righteous people) or just plain incompetence? I don't know which sin is worse...
ReplyDeleteThe title of his piece is "Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth?" - and, yes, he views this possibility in a very negative light.
Andy,
DeleteThe title of Kaufmann's academic paper is quoted at the beginning of the article. Plus, Kaufmann is clearly labeled an agnostic in this article. You are desperate, grasping at straws and incompetent!
I cite from the beginning of the article:
In article entitled Lady creation evangelist keeps spreading the word about Creation.com.

As far as the title that was done for space considerations, but it doesn't detract from Kaufmann's central claim that religious conservatives are likely to prevail in terms of adherents in coming years while secularism will wane in influence.
What?! You've done it again! The title of Kaufmann's work is "Shall the RELIGIOUS inherit the earth", not "shall the righteous"!
DeleteI think you've answered the question: it's incompetence, not deliberate deception on your part, so at least we're clear about that! No incompetence (or desperation) on my part!
Andy Wilkinson,
DeleteThanks for the correction. You see, unlike stubborn atheists and evolutionists, creationist are teachable and willing to fix mistakes! :)
By the way, the videos were labeled correctly. :)
Andy Wilkinson,
DeleteLet's see who is incompetent.
A few matters:
1. Are you an atheist? If so, what proof and evidence do you have that atheism is true? Are you an agnostic? If so, what proof and evidence do you have that agnosticism is a valid worldview?
The reason I ask these question is that there is plenty of evidence indicating that Christianity is true. See: http://questionevolution.blogspot.com/2012/09/evidence-for-christianity-websites-and.html
2. Are you an evolutionist? If so, are you willing to have a debate centered around the 15 questions for evolutionists (see: http://creation.com/15-questions )
