Project 200+ was officially launched on November 4, 2012 by our Question Evolution! Campaign group
Project 200+ was officially launched on November 4, 2012 by our Question Evolution! Campaign group today. Project 200+ seeks to form a coalition of 200 creationist/Christian organizations. We feel the timing is right due to a Question Evolution book for middle school students soon coming out.
Recently, we got 2 key Texas creationist organizations involved in the campaign. There are about 170+ creationist organizations in North America so 200 creationist/Christian organizations is a conservative estimate as far as a coalition. Since the Question Evolution! Campaign is a worldwide grassroots movement, we ultimately want to form a coalition of more than 200 organizations, but 200 is a good initial goal.
The closest thing atheists have to Project 200+ is the anemic Atheist Alliance International. It is very hard to herd a bunch of quarrelsome, socially challenged, militant atheist cats!
One of the members of our Question Evolution! Campaign spoke to a Christian on November 4, 2012 who is an expert on church leadership and Christian internet outreach and he said he is very interested in looking further into the Question Evolution! Campaign and its 15 questions for evolutionists plus the internet evangelism and Christian apologetics outreaches we are developing. See: 4 pillars of defeating Darwinism When I said we are forming a coalition of 200+ creationist and Christian organizations, he said it sounded very exciting.
This was a key contact as he is part of a movement which was very influential in the 1970s and 1980s and still has a legacy today of followers. The Christian movement was largely a response Humanist Manifesto II initiated by Paul Kurtz and Edwin H. Wilson. A number of Christian leaders, authors, evangelists and other Christians credit the leader of this movement with Christians being more outspoken in Western society. He definitely wants more information plus gave us other people to contact such as other people in his movement plus key people to contact in the internet evangelism community. Since we definitely want creationist laymen to be more outspoken, engage in more evangelism and develop leaders within our movement, we definitely want to cement and grow the relationship with this key contact.
